Why is the Secret Key required?

OKX uses the API Key, Secret Key, and Passphrase together for authentication. The Secret Key itself does not grant trading or withdrawal permissions. Those permissions depend on the access settings selected when the API key was created.

Your credentials are used only during this OKX sync and are deleted immediately afterward. They are not stored in the database.

How do I create an OKX read-only API?
  1. Open OKX API management.
  2. Create a new API key.
  3. Enable Read / Read-only permission only.
  4. Do not enable Trade.
  5. Do not enable Withdraw; then paste the API Key, Secret Key, and Passphrase into Evidge.
  6. IP allowlist: if OKX lets you skip it, you can. Evidge only ever sends read requests.
